Cala Santanyí, Majorca

by thewelltraveledroad

Out of all the beautiful beaches we saw in Majorca (and really, they are all beautiful!), I would have to say that Cala Santanyi was my favorite. What the beach lacks in size, it more than makes up for in beauty. There is plenty of sandy beach, which was surprising for a beach flanked by rocks. Cala Santanyi has a private feel to it.

One of the things I love about Cala Santanyi is how easily accessible it is. We stopped by after visiting ES PONTAS and CALA FIGUERA. From the road we were on, there were stairs leading down to the beach. However, Cala Santanyi also has a parking right next to the beach entrance which is free of charge, so street parking is not necessary. Because of the easy accessibility & nearby parking, this beach is very friendly for those with limited mobility.

We visited the beach during the off season, which meant there were no food stands open (not surprising), nor were there any toilets or showers available (yikes!). There was, however, a volleyball net set up and a competitive game being played. Signs posted said no dogs or bikes allowed on the beach. We did see several dogs while we were there, though.

If you are looking for a beautiful little beach to relax or play at, that has great sand and a great vibe, check out Cala Santanyi!
